Sejaya Micro Credit Limited was incorporated in 2015 under the Companies Act No 7 of 2007 as a limited liability company for the purpose of promoting the wellbeing of the communities in which it operates. It is a Licensed Microfinance Company under the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Sejaya aims to create social capital to enhance the living standards and reduce poverty of low-income households by providing inclusive financial services in a socially responsible manner. Sejaya means “Win for All” as it strives to create a Win-Win situation for its Clients, Staff and Investors.

Iresha is a 34-year-old mother on a mission to rewrite her family’s future. A former factory worker, Iresha embarked on an entrepreneurial journey out of a desire for financial independence and a better life for her husband and three children. She took a bold step by taking a loan of 50,000 rupees (approximately USD 160) from the Padukka Sejaya branch in Sri Lanka to start her dream sewing business. With that loan, Iresha bought a sewing machine and started the sewing business.

I am Lasanthika, a 34-year-old dedicated entrepreneur from Colombo road, Galagedara. With my husband is carpenter, I took a bold step in my tailoring business by securing a Rs. 150,000 (USD 480) loan from the Pasio program. This funding enabled me to purchase new sewing machines and fabric, focusing my efforts on creating kids cloths. Thinking that she should do something besides work, Chathurika took a loan (25,000 rupees (approximately USD 80) from Sejaya Micro credit-Sri Lanka and started a cloth business.
So far, she has managed to earn Rs 30,000 (USD 95) per month from her business. specially she says that the Pasio App and the community that introduced through Sejaya helped her to succeed in her business.
